Here are some of our most asked questions and important facts regarding our organization:
Q: What are the class fees?
A: Class fees for 2024/25 are as follows:
Non-Refundable Family Registration Fee: $75
Tuition (per child, for the entire year) -- $80 per class
Late registration fee--$25 additional cost per family
Payment options include check, money order, or cash.
We ask that you please not mail cash payments.
Students are also responsible for providing their instruments, books, and any needed supplies.
Q: What classes do you offer?
A: While specific classes may change from year to year, we consistently offer ensemble and instrument classes (voice, guitar, strings,), foreign language, a variety of art classes, and other specialized classes such as speech.
Q: What is the time commitment for parents and students?
A: Students are expected to attend classes each week and a parent or designated guardian must be on-site at all times. In order for Praise Ensembles to maintain a high quality of education, parents or guardians are required to contribute approximately one hour of volunteer service each week. These tasks vary and include simple jobs such as setup, cleanup, and classroom helper. Families with younger siblings are given tasks that can be done with their little ones on site. We also ask that families with children in the concerts play a part in putting on these events. Students are expected to have daily practice at home and complete all assigned homework.
Q: My child will not be the age for class we would like to be enrolled in, what is the age cut off date?
A: Praise Ensembles classes are restricted to students who are of appropriate age, as noted in the Course Descriptions. These ages have been determined by our instructors and the board of directors in order to facilitate learning in a class environment. The cut-off date for determining the child’s age is the first day of the Praise Ensembles year.
Example: A child wishing to enroll in Prep Choir must turn 8 on or before the first day of class. A child wishing to enroll in Middle School Literature must turn 11 on or before the first day of class. This is a firm date and students whose birthdays fall on after that date will not be admitted to class until the following academic year.
Q: If I have children younger than 5, what can I do with them while my other child(ren) is in class?
A: We have a large family room and gymnasium available for our families to play and visit. We also have a quiet room available to study.
Q: How do I get more information?
A: Our email is [email protected] or you can reach us through our "Contact Us" page and we'll make every effort to get back to you within a day or two. Please include your name, email, and comments or questions.
Q: When does registration occur?
A: Registration for new families takes place in June. Our current families are allowed to register first. Once that registration has closed, we open up registration to new families. To be contacted about registration, please join our email list which can be found on the Registration page.

Important Note: Is Praise Ensembles a good fit for your family?
- Age Requirements: Classes are available for ages 5 through high school. The cutoff date for all age minimums is the first day of classes. We ask that parents read class descriptions thoroughly and evaluate whether your child has the developmental skills needed for that particular class. While we love having the opportunity to extend this program to a large number of families and younger ages, we also have to be responsible to ensure that our students are receiving quality instruction in a nurturing environment. If your student is not ready for the class that you are considering, please check our schedule for additional options.
- Behavioral Expectations: It is important to note that parents may be asked to attend class with those children that need extra assistance in maintaining a level of focus that is necessary for the class. With only 50 minutes in a class period, it is important that the instructor’s time is used effectively.
- Supplies: Instruments, books, & class supplies will need to be provided by students. Parents will be given supply lists for all classes at the start of each semester. Some classes will have an additional supply fee in lieu of a supply list.
- Tuition: Enrollment is for a full year (24 weeks). Tuition is per child and hours may not be divided between children.
- Attendance: Many of our performance & skill-based classes depend heavily on our students being present in order for the class to operate effectively. Please take this into consideration when choosing classes that fit your family. We ask that your goal would be to not miss more than 3 classes in order to maintain the quality of education that our instructors desire for your children.
- Waiting list: Many of our classes fill quickly. All registrations are time-stamped and filled on a first come basis. We will try to notify you as soon as possible if a class you have selected is unavailable. Please note if you would like to be placed on a wait-list for a particular class.
- Parent Commitment: We are not a drop-off co-op or school. In order for Praise to operate efficiently, ALL enrolled families are required to provide weekly volunteer support behind the scenes (approximately one hour). If you have younger siblings present, there will be jobs that you can do with your little ones present. Setup & cleanup positions are available for those that prefer these jobs. Students that drive themselves are welcome to fill the volunteer positions for their family members. In addition to this commitment, all families that have children in the concerts and drama productions will provide background assistance with these events. We are a large group and this allows us to keep things running smoothly without all responsibility falling on a few shoulders.
